Peru Balsam Resinoid
Breathing, Expectorant , Relaxing
Peru Balsam Resinoid has a deep rich aroma . It is a thick oil and is woody yet sweet and has a hint of vanilla and cinnamon.
Peru Balsam is used to alleviate stress and tension. I find it particularly valuable when people are going through changes such as moving house or starting a new job. It helps us to cope with the frustration and problems that can occur during these changes. Try 2 drops Peru Balsam, 2 drops Lavender and 2 drops Ylang Ylang in your bath.
It can be used for skin problems and makes a fabulous addition to a hand or foot cream to help in the treatment and prevention of chapped and cracked skin. Try 1 drop Peru Balsam, 1 drop Benzoin and 1 drop Myrrh per 10mls carrier cream to nourish, heal and protect your hands. This blend is also effective for eczema and itchy skin conditions.
Also helpful for poor circulation I like to use Peru Balsam and Cinnamon together to boost the circulation. Put 3 drops of each oil in your bath.
Peru Balsam is great for respiratory problems since it is an expectorant, as it lessens the mucus secretions. It can even help chronic coughs.
Put a few drops in an oil burner or make up a chest rub with 2 drops Peru Balsam, 2 drops Frankincense and 2 drops Ravensara.
On a spiritual level Peru Balsam helps you to find your soul pathway.
Please also see the distilled Peru Balsam on our site which is less viscous and pours far more easily.
